Bayelsa United's manager Tarila Okoronwanta believes his team can still salvage something positive from the 2026 President Federation Cup.

The Prosperity Boys were relegated from the NPFL this season. But Okoronwanta insists their campaign isn't finished yet.

Wikki Tourists await them in the Round of 32 next week. The match will be played at Lafia City Stadium.

"It is not completely over for us yet," Okoronwanta told Completesports. "We are still in the Federation Cup and will face Wikki Tourists in Lafia.

Anything can still happen."

He noted that the competition could offer redemption for his struggling squad. "The President Federation Cup could provide a window of relief for us," he added.

Victory in the tournament comes with significant rewards. Winners qualify to play in next season's CAF Confederation Cup.
