Bandits operating with Keke stabs man to death in Delta

Armed bandits allegedly operating with tricycle (Keke) has allegedly stabbed a 41-years old man, one Oghenekparobo Kpedi to death around Ginuwa road, Warri, Delta State.

The incident which happened at about 8pm on Monday this week, has thrown residents of the area into fear, as crime rate is gradually increasing in the area.

 

A source said that the victim met his untimely death when he was said to have  walked into the hands of men who were said to have robbed a pregnant woman moment before the sad incident.

He was said to have been stabbed severally at his chest region by the hoodlums who did not dispossess him of his handset, money and other belongings.

Meanwhile the incident has thrown relations, friends of Kpabo  and other residents of the area into mourning as the disease was said to be very popular.

The remains of Kpabo who hailed from Egini in Udu Local Government Area of the state have since been deposited at the mortuary of the Warri Central Hospital.

Efforts to reach the Police Public Relations Officer to confirm the incident proved abortive, as at the time of filing this report.

Meanwhile those who spoke to our correspondent on the incident described Ginuwa and the adjoining streets as the most dangerous areas in Warri and Uvwie in terms of insecurity.

Some of the respondents in the area suggested that a government security post be established in the area in order to reduce the frequent operations of hoodlums
