Arsenal's manager Mikel Arteta delivered bad news after Sunday's narrow victory over West Ham. The Gunners won 1-0 with Leandro Trossard's 82nd-minute strike sealing the result.
But two players limped off with injuries during the match. Ben White departed in the opening half with a knee problem and didn't return.
Riccardo Calafiori also failed to reappear after halftime, forcing tactical changes in defence. Martin Zubimendi and Cristhian Mosquera came on as replacements.
The victory stretches Arsenal's advantage over Manchester City to five points. Still, Arteta sounded concerned about White's fitness going forward.
"We don't know the severity but it doesn't look good at all," he told reporters post-match. "He needs further testing tomorrow probably and I will know a bit more," the manager added.
