APC is resolute and focused on wresting power from PDP- Egbo

A Delta State House of Assembly hopeful for the Ughelli North Local Government Constituency II on the platform of the All Progressive Congress, APC, Olorogun Jaro Egbo  has said that  the the party was resolute and focused on wresting power from the Peoples Democratic Party PDP in the state in the 2019 general election.

Egbo while addressing newsmen shortly after dispensing free fuel to over 500 commercial motorcyclists, popularly called Okada in the Ughelli metropolis, said; “There may be a little challenge and misunderstanding within the party, we all still have the same focus and goal which is to send PDP packing in the state.

“The issues are within the party and are already being handled by our new National Chairman, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole and would be resolved very soon.

“No matter whom anyone is supporting, whether Pat Utomi, Great Ogboru, Victor Ochei, Cairo Ojougboh and other aspirants, the goal is to remove Okowa and PDP’s bad government and we are still very much on course to achieve that come 2019.”

On the free fuel to Okada riders, he said; “What we are doing is just trying to encourage them because we know the job is not an easy one. They are suffering, the government could not provide jobs and instead of supporting them; they are imposing various taxes on them.

“For now, since we cannot provide them with a better job, we are trying to see how we can help alleviate their suffering. Before you say you are stopping Okada, you must provide a better alternative for them.

“This is why we have designed a programme, that when we come in, we would form and register a corporative for them through which they would be empowered by way of soft loans to start something better after they must have been trained.”

Egbo urged the Okada riders to ensure they get their Permanent Voter’s Card PVC and vote out bad government come 2019 election and enthrone good governance in Delta State.
