APC Denounces Impostor, Reaffirms Uzodimma and Emenike as South-East Leaders

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has disowned one Chief Chikwe Esiaga, an alleged party chieftain from Abia State, who was accused of being an impostor.

The National Vice Chairman of the APC South-East, Dr Ijeomah Arodiogbu; and the Abia State Chairman of the party, Dr Kingsley Ononogbu, have both issued separate statements to clarify the situation.

The controversy arose following a media publication by Esiaga, in which he claimed that Governor Hope Uzodimma of Imo State, in collaboration with the 2023 Governorship Candidate of the APC in Abia, Chief Ikechi Emenike, had hijacked the party in Abia.

In response to this, the South-East APC Chairman, Dr Ijeomah Arodiogbu, criticized Esiaga for his claims and stated that he is not a known member of the party in Abia State.

He further explained that the APC has appropriate channels for members to express their concerns.

Dr Ononogbu, the Abia State Chairman of the APC, urged the public to disregard Esiaga and his sponsors, who he claimed were trying to cause confusion within the party’s leadership through blackmail.

He emphasized that the party remains under his firm control and that both Senator Uzodimma and Chief Emenike are the legitimate leaders of the APC in the South-East.

The official statements from both the South-East and Abia State chapters of the APC have made it clear that Esiaga’s claims are unfounded and that the party’s leadership remains intact.

As the situation continues to unfold, it is essential for members of the public to stay informed and be aware of the facts surrounding this issue.
