The Odu Oma Club of Nigeria has applauded Senator Ned Nwoko and members of the technical committee on the creation of Anioma State, describing recent progress as a historic leap toward the long-cherished dream of making Anioma Nigeria’s 37th state.
In a statement jointly signed by President Mr. Patrick Ogbogu Okenyi, Secretary Mr. Uche Emma Aboh, and Publicity Secretary Dr. CC Nwayalani, the club commended the tireless dedication of Senator Nwoko and the committee, as well as the compelling advocacy of stakeholders at the recent South-South Zonal Public Hearing in Ikot Ekpene, Akwa Ibom State.
“The renewed call for Anioma State, backed by clear articulation and united voices, is a testament to the resilience and unity of our people,” the club stated.
Founded over 45 years ago, the Odu Oma Club has remained a staunch advocate for the actualisation of Anioma State. The group reaffirmed its commitment to the cause, emphasising that the pursuit is rooted in fairness, justice, and rightful representation in Nigeria’s federal structure.
“This milestone is not just a political step forward—it is a reflection of the enduring will and collective aspiration of Anioma sons and daughters,” the statement read.
Expressing confidence in the momentum gathered so far, the club urged continued unity and strategic collaboration among all stakeholders to ensure the dream becomes a reality.
They extended warm congratulations to Senator Prince Ned Nwoko, the technical committee, and everyone involved in what they called a “great and noble cause.”
