Nollywood actor Alex Ekubo has died. An industry insider confirmed the tragic news to our newsroom on condition of anonymity.
Ekubo was admitted to hospital on Monday, sources say. He'd been fighting kidney cancer for some time.
He passed away Tuesday afternoon while on life support. His health struggles became public knowledge in May 2025.
The actor had been largely absent from social media for months before his death. His final post appeared on December 30, 2024.
