AFRIMEK Defends Femi Adebayo’s Role in Bobrisky’s Best Dressed Female Award

The Association of Yoruba African Men Entertainment Kings, also known as AFRIMEK, has issued a public statement addressing the controversy surrounding Femi Adebayo’s announcement of the Best Dressed Female Award at the “Beast of Two Worlds” film premiere.

Bobrisky, a popular Nigerian crossdresser, won the award, which sparked criticism from social media users and colleagues.

In the statement, AFRIMEK defended their Mayor, Femi Adebayo, emphasizing that he is a man of integrity, class, and honor who respects all positive human values and etiquette.

The association clarified that Adebayo was only asked to announce the winner of the Best Dressed award at the event and was not part of the selection team.

AFRIMEK reminded the public that the entertainment industry is where creativity and business strategies emerge, and the anticipated buzz is received as expected.

The association also stated that, due to his religious convictions, particularly during the holy month, Femi Adebayo would not have been involved in any controversial decision.

The statement, signed by the club’s PRO, Adeniyi Johnson, called for all concerned parties to “sheath their sword and allow peace to reign.”

The organization’s defense of their Mayor highlights the importance of understanding the context and responsibilities of individuals within the entertainment industry and the need for respect and tolerance in the face of diverse opinions and beliefs.
