Adjogbe urges Niger Deltans to continue to support the APC led FG

The Executive Director of Projects, Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), Engr. Dr Samuel Adjogbe said the Commission will continue to do its best towards intervening in projects that is beneficial to the people.

He added that the intervention agency is geared towards at making the effective change the All Progressive Congress, APC, led government has promised Nigerians.

Engr. Adjogbe, while addressing journalists during the inspection of the rehabilitation of failed and unmotorable sections of Gana-Ugberikoko road in Sapele which has been completed, said he was impressed with the level of work done by the contractors.

According to him; “We will continue to do our best, when APC came on board, we promised change and that is what we are trying our best to do.

“The NDDC was set up to intervened in some of the areas the government ordinary would not have expected to reach, but because it’s a regional commission, we understand the plight more than anybody.

“This road which is leading to NPDC/SEPLAT flow station was identified and we have to fix it. We have been able to fix some other roads like the one we commissioned at Ojolu area of Sapele last year,” he said.

Adjogbe, however urged the people of Sapele continue to support the APC led government, so as to continue to enjoy the dividends of the Party’s change mantra.

Meanwhile the Chairman of Sapele Okpe Community, Mr Patrick Akamuvba and the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Ward 8 Councillor, Hon. Ovo Abeke has commended NDDC for a job well done, noting that with the fixing of the road, businesses are picking up again in the area.

Mr Akamuvba, who was visibly happy while fielding questions from newsmen said; “our joy knows no bound, NDDC and the contractor has done a good job,  if all contractors are working like this, all the abandon projects here and there in Sapele will be a thing of the past.”

The project supervising engineer, Dara who also spoke to journalists thanked the people of the Community for providing the enabling environment throughout the duration of the work.

The 10km failed section of Gana -Ugberikoko road, Sapele road project, was executed by four contractors working simultaneously to complete the road in record time.

According to information gathered, the contracting firms include; Amu Global Venture Limited, Kamillions Nigeria Limited, Collincrystal Energy Limited and Rising Heights Nigeria Limited, with each allocated about 2.5km.
