Governor Ahmadu Fintiri has pledged strong action against same-sex relationships in Adamawa State. He made the vow during a trip to Mubi in northern Adamawa.
According to the governor, his administration will not tolerate such conduct. He stressed that his government remains committed to protecting the state's laws and cultural traditions.
Fintiri noted that he'd continue promoting values that align with Adamawa residents' beliefs and customs. He promised to tackle social problems through legal channels only.
Parents must step up their moral guidance work, he charged. Religious and community leaders should also strengthen character development efforts among young people.
Protecting society's values demands involvement from everyone, the governor emphasized. All sectors of the community must play their part in this effort.
