Activist VeryDarkMan Challenges Authorities: ‘Who’s Protecting Bobrisky in Nigeria?’

Lagos, Nigeria – Controversial Nigerian activist, VeryDarkMan, has once again called out the Nigerian police and other authorities for their failure to arrest popular transgender celebrity, Bobrisky, for breaking the law.

The activist claims that powerful individuals in Nigeria are shielding Bobrisky from facing the consequences of his actions.

In a video shared on social media, VeryDarkMan questioned the Nigerian police and other heads of state about why Bobrisky is being protected despite openly flaunting the country’s laws.

He cited articles from the Nigerian constitution that state any individual displaying amorous affection with the same gender in public should be arrested and imprisoned for a minimum of 10 years.

VeryDarkMan also presented video evidence of the numerous instances in which Bobrisky has publicly displayed affection with other men, further challenging the authorities to take action.

The activist first clashed with Bobrisky on March 20, 2024, when he claimed that influential men in Nigeria were patronizing the transwoman, leading to the police’s reluctance to arrest her.

Bobrisky responded by threatening to leak an adult tape of VeryDarkMan if he continued to involve himself in her affairs.

This ongoing controversy has sparked debate among Nigerians, with many expressing their opinions on social media.

Some argue that Bobrisky should be held accountable for breaking the law, while others believe that the transgender celebrity is being unfairly targeted due to her gender identity.

The Nigerian government has yet to respond to the allegations made by VeryDarkMan.

However, the issue has brought attention to the ongoing struggle for LGBTQ+ rights in Nigeria, where same-sex relationships are still criminalized.

As the situation unfolds, it remains to be seen whether the authorities will take action against Bobrisky or if the activist’s claims will continue to be ignored.

Regardless, the controversy has sparked a much-needed conversation about the treatment of LGBTQ+ individuals in Nigeria and the need for greater protection of their rights.
