Deliverance gone Bizarre; Woman Runs Mad at Church in Delta

An elderly woman, a member of the Covenant of Greatness Christian Bible Church, in Sapele  Delta State, (name withheld)  has allegedly ran mad as the General Overseer of the church, Prophet Henry Osasere was praying for her younger  sister whom she had invited to the church for a deliverance service.

The incident which happened last weekend, at the church auditorium situated along the popular Reclamation road in Sapele, during a church service is raising dust in the town as resident are yet to fully comprehend what went wrong.

An eye witness at the church, who pleaded anonymity, told our correspondent that the old woman brought her sister, who have marital problems and had not seen her menstrual flow for about 12 years, to the church for deliverance.

According to him, “the pastor called out the sister and told her that she had an issue in her marriage and has not seen her menstruation for 12 years now.

“He then placed his hand on the young lady’s forehead and prayed that whosoever was responsible for her problems should go mad, her elder sister who had brought her started stripping herself naked and behaving funny”

“The church members were shocked as many started shouting Jesus and Holy Gust fire. Later some of the church leaders took the woman to unknown destination.”

Attempt to speak to the pastor was unsuccessful as he was said to be away to Ologbo in Edo State, however, one of the church leader who was not authorized to speak confirmed the story.
