A group that styles itself as Committee of Graduates of Ambrose Ali University (AAU) Ekpoma, Edo State, has called on Rev Francis Ejiroghene Waive to contest for the Ughelli North/Ughelli South/Udu Federal Constituency, Delta State, in 2019 election.

The group, who are also indigenes of constituency, said the call became necessary because the constituency has been underrepresented at the National Assembly since 1999 till date.

In a statement signed by Austin Ohwofaria-Ughelli North; Efe Otavworuo Ughelli South and Rume Otidi Udu LGA, they stated that Rev Waive left an indelible footprint as President of the Students Union Government during their University days at Ekpoma.

They stated further, that Rev Waive has the pedigree, integrity, education, experience, qualities, skills and talents to give the constituency effective representation in House of Representative.

According to group, “our constituency has suffered very poor, selfish, primitive and inept representation at the National Assembly since 1999.

They added that, “our people need a voice with clout, courage, selflessness, vision, humility, uprightness and result-oriented, people-based servant leadership.”

The group also urged all political, religious, labour, traditional and community leaders to forget their political party affiliations and support Rev Waive for House of Representative.
