The group while tasking Olorogun Taiga to show proof of ownership of Uvwiamuge land he allegedly donated to the UPU, in a protest letter signed by the Chairman and Secretary of the group, Comrade Stephen Ohowokirerehuo and Mr. Mudiaga Abiri, made available to ADVOCATE stated that their investigation and consultation had shown that Taiga’s claim to have acquired the Uvwiamuge land and donated to UPU at the value of N35m was not true.

The group added that information available to them, it had no option than to respond to a publication credited to Olorogun Taiga in Urhobo Voice of November 21, 2016, where he had said that the Uvwiamuge land UPU had its secretariat was donated to UPU by him and also said that he (Taiga) consulted late Michael Ibru and they both agreed to hold back their pledges.

They stated further that the late Michael Ibru was an illustrious son who never shelve his responsibility to Urhobo nation, would not stop Olorogun Moses Taiga from redeeming his N40m pledge, stressing that the Urhobo youth will be glad to know the identity of family he allegedly paid N35M to acquire the Uvwiamuge land he claimed to have donated to UPU.

The group stated also that it will be better if he addresses all these issues before he thinks of running for the exalted seat of the UPU President General, within seven days.
