EKSG rehabilitates 12 township roads within 200 days of Oyebanji’s administration says official

The Gov. Biodun Oyebanji led administration completed rehabilitation of 12 township roads in Ado-Ekiti, the state capital, within 200 days of his assumption of office, an official has said.
The Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Works and Transport, Mr Sunday Komolafe, said this on Tuesday, while monitoring completed and on-going road rehabilitation works in Ado-Ekiti.
Komolafe said that the government completed seven road projects in its first 100 days while five additional ones were recently completed making a total of 12 township roads rehabilitated within 200 days in office.
He listed the roads completed to include; Oke Oniyo – Union Baptist road, Oladele street at Awedele, Odofin – Kini, Ajibade
lane – Orita Blessing road and Matthew street – St Paul Anglican Church, Odo-Ado road.
Others include; Mugbagba – St Paul Anglican Church, Ijigbo Round about –
Atikankan, Olukayode Stadium – Okuta Gbokutalori – Old Garage, Atikankan – Isato Oke – Sadiat Hotel, Basiri – Nova Int. School junction at Adebayo area and Access Bank-Oke Bola – Little by Little plaza bypass.
He commended the governor for making lives easier for commuters and other road users, adding that the roads would go a long way to assist the populace in carrying out their daily activities and reduce accidents.
The permanent secretary said that the present administration would not accept shoddy jobs, stressing that the ministry does not allow for the use of sub-standard materials.
According to him, the ministry ensured close monitoring and supervision of the projects.
Komolafe said that additional roads in the metropolis were being rehabilitated and constructed and include;  St. Paul Anglican Church – Ado Grammar School road, Baptist High School- NTA – New Iyin road.
Also undergoing rehabilitation are the Agric Olope – Moferere – Odo Ado, GRA 3rd Extension, Oke Ila – Housing Corporation and Oja Oba – Post Office – Palace roads.
“All of these are expected to be delivered soon,” the permanent secretary said.
