Breaking: Delta PDP Governorship Primary Delegates teargased

Delta State Peoples Democratic Party, PDP Governorship Primary is starting off on a rough note as delegates who assembled at the Event Center were teargased by some overzealous policemen in an attempt to control the surging crowd.

Advogate.ng who was at the venue of accreditation at about 8am noticed that security personnel stationed at the gate to the Event Center were very professional, as those who could be identified as delegate and journalist were allowed to enter.

However, things take a twist when the PDP security committee took over the control of the gate leading to a chaotic situation.

To arrest the drifting situation, police at the gate fired teargas cannisters which further worsen the situation.

Delegates and an aspirant who was coming in at that time were seen covering their nose with handkerchief and with teary eyes.

As at the time of filling this report accreditation is yet to begin, delegates and some aspirants are milling around.
