Dr. Olotu Otemu Akpodiete celebrates 40th Birthday grand style

Dr. Olotu Otemu Akpodiete, recently celebrated his birthday in a grand style, displaying his philanthropic attributes once again as he marks his 40th birth-anniversary with students of Government College Ughelli, Delta State.

It’s was a remarkable ceremony, as Dr. Akpodiete in the spirit of giving back to society gave out ceiling fans in numbers and learning materials to students of Government College; Schoolhouse, and Forcados House respectively.

Speaking during the ceremony, Dr. Akpodiete said that coming to celebrate with Students of Government College Ughelli, was born out of his desire to give back to the school as an old boy and also in honour of his late father who was also an old boy of Government College Ughelli.

In appreciation, the principal Mr. Obor Samson, thanked Dr. Akpodiete for his kind gesture, stating that this is one of its kind since his term as the principal of the school, that he has witnessed old boys visit the school but to mark their birthday and give back to the school in terms of providing the basic need of the students, “I’m seeing it for the first time” he averred.

Speaking also, the Housemaster of School House; Mr. Iteyetomi Joseph, expressed profound gratitude and in prayers, wished Dr. Akpodiete many more years and grace to breakthrough in all ramifications. The Principal Information Officer to Delta State Government, Mr. Augustine Akanigha on behalf of parents thanks Dr. Akpodiete for his kind gesture.

Also, on behalf of the students, Master Uveruvwe Uyoyohoghene, thanked Dr. Olotu Akpodiete, saying that his kind gesture is an answer to their prayers because for a long time they have wished and prayed for things like this to happen and of course, it’s a thing of joy that it happened while he was still a student.

It was indeed overwhelming as the epoch of the event was the presentation of gifts to students of School House and Forcados house respectively by Mrs. Agboka Akpodiete-Omale

Responsively, Dr. Olotu Otemu Akpodiete, thanked the school management, parents present, and the students for the warm reception.
