The management of the Federal University of Petroleum Resources (FUPRE), Effurun, Delta State has terminated the appointment of a lecturer over allegations of cash for grade and sexual harassment.
This was made known to newsmen by the Pro-Chancellor and Chairman, Governing Council, Prof. Abdullahi Shehu Zuru after the concluded disciplinary procedure of the university.
According to the Pro-chancellor, three academic and one non-academic staff were also demoted over cash-for-grades, insubordination and other offences.
A professor, was demoted to the rank of reader, two other lecturers on the rank of Lecturer I were demoted to Lecturer II.
While a senior assistant registrar alleged to be involved in false petitions against the management of the university was demoted to the rank of Assistant Registrar.
