The Chairman of Sapele Local Government Area, Hon. (Chief) Eugene Inoaghan, felicitates with workers of Sapele Local Government Area, as they join the rest of the world to mark the 2020 May Day celebration.
The Council Boss in a statement made available to the press, thanked the workers for their unflinching support and encouragements, even in the face of the COVID-19 pandemic, and further assured them of better days ahead.
He noted that this year’s workers’ Day theme, “Stop the pandemic at work”, as fitting, particularly, since “we are joining forces towards defeating the novel Coronavirus, (COVID-19), pandemic, currently ravaging nations of the world.”

He further advised residents to continue to obey the new directives from the state government, which is geared towards ensuring economic activities return without compromising public health safety.
“We should religiously practice the precautionary measures of social distancing, especially while interacting in public, practice the compulsory use of face masks, regular washing of our hands with soap and running water or the use of alcohol-based hand sanitizer, to enable us successfully oppugn the Covid-19 scourge”. The statement added.
“While I salute your courage, tenacity and perseverance during the lockdown period, I also commend you for your hope and patriotism in the face of the current challenges,” he added.
