Town Hall meetings is for performances appraisal -Ukah

The Delta State Commissioner for Information, Mr. Patrick Ukah, has said that the Governor Ifeanyi Okowa ongoing Town Hall meetings with stakeholders across the state were in fulfillment of the governor’s campaign promise.

Ukah stated this at Asaba during Okowa’s project inspection and commissioning to mark his second year in office, noted that the governor had promised to come back midterm to meet with the electorate and give account of his stewardship.

He explained that the two meetings held so far at Isoko North and Isoko South Local government areas have provided a platform for Dr. Okowa to meet with critical stakeholders and cross-fertilized ideas on ways to sustain gains made so far.

Mr. Ukah disclosed that the meetings are already achieving the objectives for which it was conceived, adding that the Deltans have expressed satisfaction because the projects commissioned were direct fulfillment of the campaign promises made by the Governor.

The Commissioner while emphasising the important of Town-Hall meetings stated that it gives room for performances appraisal and also enable the government to map out new strategies doing things better in the future.

The Town Hall meetings and commissioning and inspection of projects will continue in Sapele and Ethiope West Local Government Areas on Tuesday and Wednesday, May 16 and 17, 2017.
