Chief Uloho while emphasizing the importance of unity amongst party members, at a meeting of the Ughelli North Chapter  of the APC Leaders/Elders Forum held at Chief Uloho’s compound added that; “united we stand, divided we fall”.

At the meeting which saw many members of the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Delta State; Labour Party (LP), Social Democratic Party (SDP), and Accord Party defecting to the APC, the leaders charged members of the party to go to their units and wards and mobilise new members for registration.

The Chairman of the party in Ughelli North Local government area, Chief  Felix Ekure, told members present that APC at State and National levels is determine to end the PDP strangulation in Delta State which, according to them, have plugged the state into a political quagmire.

He disclosed that the LP, SDP, Accord Party and other political parties in Delta State decided to join forces with the Delta APC to uproot the stronghold of PDP from the State, noting that the APC was able to take over power from PDP at the nation level with the aid of amalgamation of other political parties.

Sir Jaro Egbo,  while addressing newsmen noted that the government of PDP has destroyed Delta State in the past 16 years as the ruling party in the state, adding that the government of PDP turned blind eye to issues of agriculture, road maintenance, workers’ welfare, including LGA workers and pensioners in the state.
According to him, APC government is focused and determined to revamp the agricultural, education, infrastructural sector of the country’s economy and is committed to prompt payment of workers’ salaries.

While calling on members to come out en-mass for the registration exercise, he assured that equal treatment will be given to all members, saying all members have equal rights to the party.

Earlier, the Ughelli LGA chairman of APC, Chief Ekure, advised all members to put the interest of the party first, noting that it will be too early for them to start parading their personal ambitions.
