…Approves immediate renovation/furnishing of community school

Deputy President of Nigeria Senate and the All Progressives Congress, APC, governorship flag bearer in Delta State, Obarisi Ovie Omo-Agege has promised to complete the Umeh-Uzere roads project abandoned by the PDP-led administration if elected.

Omo-Agege gives the assurance on Monday at Umeh, during town hall a meeting with the people of Umeh and Erewa communities in Ward 8, in Isoko South local government area of the state.

He noted that the government of Delta State under the administration of Senator Ifeanyi Okowa was not fair to the agrarian communities of Umeh and Erewa that form part of the food basket of the state.

According to him, Umeh and Erewa communities deserved social amenities like other communities in the state since they contributed to the economy of the state.

“Umeh and Erewa communities deserve good roads, pipe born water, electricity, school, hospital, and network service like other communities in Delta State.

“Delta State is the richest state in the country yet Governor Ifeanyi Okowa has not provided these basic needs of our people despite their immense contributions to the economic growth of the state.

“As a Deputy Senate President and a Senator representing the good people of Delta Central senatorial district you have my commitment this day, the immediate renovation of the community primary school, erection of fifty poles of street light in Umeh and Ehwe communities”.

While assured that his government will create an enabling environment for the state economy to thrive, he said, he will invest in the security architecture of the state by providing modern security gadgets that will forestall the insecurity challenges bedevilled the state and this will create jobs for our teaming youths.

“I aspire to become a chief servant of the people, am not going to fight for money, God has blessed me.

“If elected my priority is to secure jobs for our teaming youths by creating an enabling environment for companies and industries to thrive.

“I will address insecurity in Delta State, I will invest in the security architecture to reduce insecurity in the state. We will encourage neighbourhood watch which will, in turn, create jobs for our youths”.

While wooing the people to vote for APC in the February 25 elections and March 11 elections, he promised to complete the cottage hospital project abandoned at Erewa community and make it functional and construct the Umeh-Ehwe-Uzere road.

“Your school will be renovated and furnished in the next two weeks, I will give you a transformer when I become your governor,” Omo-Agege assured.
