Delta 2023: Former student union leaders declare support for Omo-Agege

Hundreds of former student union leaders of Delta State origin have reaffirmed their resolve to support the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Senator Ovie Omo-Agege and his deputy, Rt Hon. Friday Osanebi in the forthcoming 2023 governorship election.

The group stated this in a resolution titled the “Orogun Hiroshima”  at a meeting of the former students union leaders drawn from different communities at Orogun, Ughelli North local government area, said the Deputy Senate President has delivered beyond expectation in terms of representation at the National Assembly.

Addressing newsmen after the meeting, the convener, Comrade Progress Omo-Agege said, “We have chosen today to come together as former students union leaders across the state to issue a sack letter to the present bad government led by Governor Ifeanyi Okowa and his cohorts.

“We have chosen today to declare and reaffirmed our support for Senator Ovie Omo-Agege and Rt. Hon Friday Osanebi as governor and deputy come 2023 elections.

“Today is a special day and we have decided to call it Orogun Hiroshima Declaration to sack PDP from Delta state, from top to bottom. We have decided that we are not going to leave anybody that will underdevelop us at this point.

“And we’ve found out that Ovie Omo-Agege will build a new Delta and we have decided to key into his EDGE agenda.

They added that Omo-Agege with first and second degree in law, he is academically sound, and as a senator, he has delivered beyond every reasonable doubt.

“Every Delta is very proud of him, his senatorial district is very proud of him, the Niger Delta region is very proud of him and if he has demonstrated that kind of influence as a senator, one would wonder what he will do as a governor and from his records, he is very qualified and competent to take the state to the next level.”

Other former student union leaders, including Prince Koyoyo Uhrorho and Comrade Stephen Ekuerhare, pledge their total commitment to the Omo-Agege governorship project.
