Nani represents fresh air, Urhobo Nation will support him- Prof Oyovbaire, Oguma, Augoye

Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, stalwarts, elders, leaders and critical stakeholders in Delta Central Senatorial District in Delta State, have thrown their weight behind a leading PDP senatorial aspirant, Chief (Barr) John Obukohow Nani saying that he represents a breath of fresh air.

The chieftains stated this when Chief Nani paid consultation visits to the party elders, leaders and stakeholders in Ughelli South and Okpe local government areas of the state in furtherance of his quest to represent Urhobo nation at the senate.

Speaking separately, Prof. Sam Oyovbaire, Olorogun John Oguma, Chief James Augoye and Dr Adogbeji Edeh said that Olorogun John Obukohow Nani will change the present narratives at the green chamber if elected as Senator to represent the good people of Delta Central Senatorial District.

The leaders also assured Olorogun John Nani that they will mobilise delegates from Ughelli South and Okpe LGAs to vote for Nani and ensure that he emerges as the party flag bearer in the 2023 senatorial election.

Prof. Sam Oyovbaire, a former Minister of Information who received the Delta Central Senatorial leading aspirant and his campaign team at his Opuraja residence in Okpe Local Government Area of the state; said that he was glad Nani took the bold steps in order to put smiles on the faces of the good people of Delta Central.

Oyovbaire who is Chairman of the Delta State Advisory Council and also referred to as the father of Government in Delta State assured Nani of Okpe delegates’ unalloyed support during the PDP primaries.

“Okpe delegates will support John Nani because in him Urhobo will have fresh air. So, I urged all delegates to vote for fresh air in Urhobo land.”

Speaking also Olorogun John Oguma described John Nani as a grassroot politician who has paid his dues and has distinguished himself in the services to the PDP, the Urhobo Nation and humanity in general, maintaining that the aspirant has all it takes to represent the good people of Delta Central and as such assured him of Ughelli South PDP delegates support in this electioneering period.

Oguma stated this at his country home in Ovwor-Olomu, disclosed that John Nani as a former Delta State House of Assembly member, a former Commissioner and has held other positions of responsibility without blemished, has the requisite qualification and experience to become a Senator and as such Urhobos will support him.

In a related development, the immediate past Delta State Commissioner for Work and a PDP governorship aspirant, Chief James Augoye said that Olorogun Barr. John Obukohow Nani knows and understands legislative politics, executive politics, and party politics and as such, Nani is grounded in the political architecture of Delta State.

Augoye while speaking prophetically at his Ugbokodo residence in Okpe Local government area of the state, said that John Nani is qualified, and equipped with the relevant prerequisites as a former legislator at the Delta State House of Assembly, an ex-while Commissioner to be a Senator.

Augoye and other Okpe PDP leaders assured the Senatorial aspirant of their full support, maintaining that Okpe delegates will do the needful in ensuring that victory is achieved during the party primary.

Other party leaders who spoke in support of Nani’s senatorial aspiration include, Chief Dr Adogbeji Edeh, Michael Oshetiegh, Chief Daniel Okoro and many others who applauded Nani’s vision for Delta Central if elected a senator.

Addressing leaders, elders and party faithful at Ovwor-Olomu, Opuraja, Ugbokodo in Ughelli North and Okpe LGA, Olorogun John Obukohow Nani assured them that if elected into the senate he will ensure that Sapele and Okwagbe ports are revitalized.

He stated further that if elected as Senator, he will not disappoint Urhobo nation but will rather it will be an all-inclusive representation, make laws that will transform Nigeria and Delta Central in particular.

“I put all my trust and hope in God, when I get to the Senate I will make laws that will be of great benefit to the people of Delta Central and Nigeria as a whole”.

“By the special grace of God, Delta Central Senatorial District and indeed the Urhobo Nation will enjoy more dividends of democracy because I want to fulfil the true meaning of AghwemutUrhobo”.

Other leaders present at the visit include; the Chairman of the PDP in Delta Central, Chief Patrick Fovie, Chief Cyril Ogodo, Director General of Nani’s campaign organisation, Chief Thomas Akpodite, Spokesperson, Chief Mrs Eunice Okoh, PDP House of Reps aspirants, Prof. D.D Darah, Talebi Tebite, Temple Mudi, among others party faithful in the area.
