Zenith Bank is going beyond the calendar when it comes to Children's Day on May 27th. The lender has made nurturing young Nigerians a strategic priority across education, health, and digital skills.

For over three years, Zenith has partnered with Kiddies Corner on Inspiration 92.3FM Lagos. The show combines spelling competitions with financial literacy lessons for children.

At the Inspiration FM Children's Day Carnival on May 23rd, the bank hosted more than 1,000 children and parents. Winners of the Zenith Children's Account (ZECA) received games, skits, and branded gifts.

Zenith Financial Literacy Week runs quarterly across all 36 states and the FCT. Top-performing students in each school pocket N50,000 as incentive.

Last year alone, the bank's Global Money Week initiative trained 3,622 students across 22 local government areas. Staff volunteers served as educators, reaching more than a hundred schools.

Education infrastructure remains a core focus. Zenith donated a state-of-the-art computer centre to Bamaina Academy in Jigawa State.

The bank has also renovated Ojota Secondary School and Victoria Island Secondary School in Lagos. Hugallawa Primary School in Jigawa received similar upgrades.

Zenith committed N1 million to Louisville Girls High School in Ijebu-Itele to support girls' education. Maryland Comprehensive Secondary School received infrastructure improvements.

St. Francis Catholic Secondary School got a N1 million scholarship endowment from the lender.

Northern communities affected by conflict also benefit through the North-East Children's Fund.

Healthcare and financial wellness go hand-in-hand at Zenith. Through Primary Healthcare Centres across all 774 LGAs, staff educate parents on early childhood savings.

The "PAD-A-QUEEN" initiative marks the International Day of the Girl Child each year. Zenith has reached 5,000 girls in 10 schools with sanitary pads and hygiene education.

Vulnerable children are not forgotten. At Bethesda Home and School for the Blind in Idi Oro, Lagos, Zenith donated braille materials, food, and toiletries.

For the 2026 International Day for Street Children, the bank partnered with Bosco Child Protection Centre. Medical check-ups, food, clothing, and counseling were provided to street kids.

Christmas charity visits to orphanages happen annually without fail. Staff deliver cash, toys, and essential supplies to brighten festive seasons.

Zenith also backs the Smile and Shine Children Foundation's Strive Conference. The bank's leadership views child welfare as a business and moral imperative.

According to the lender, children represent tomorrow's leaders and entrepreneurs. Every initiative aligns with UN Sustainable Development Goals on education, health, and gender equality.
