Tinubu expresses sympathy to Morocco over deadly earthquake

President Bola Tinubu of Nigeria has expressed his sympathy to the government and people of Morocco over the deadly earthquake that hit the country on Friday night. The earthquake, which had a magnitude of 6.8, was the strongest to hit Morocco in more than 120 years. It killed at least 820 people and injured about 672 others, according to the latest reports.

In a statement posted on his official account on Saturday, Tinubu described the incident as unfortunate and assured Moroccans that the heartfelt prayers and thoughts of Nigerians were with them at this difficult moment.
