Tinubu appoints Keyamo, Aviation minister, Wike, FCT minister, 43 others receive portfolios

By Ovasa Ogaga,

President Asiwaju Bola Tinubu on Wednesday unveiled the much-awaited portfolios for the 45 confirmed ministerial nominees with Olorogun Festus Keyamo as the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, and former Governor of River State, Barr Nyesom Wike as Minister of Federal Capital Territory.

Recall that under President Mohammadu Buhari, Keyamo served as Minister of State for Labour and Productivity, and his appointment to head the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development comes as an elevation to the status of a senior minister.

The appointment of Wike as the Minister of Federal Capital Territory is also a break from the norm over the years, as Wike will be the first Southern Nigeria to man the FCT Ministry since this civilian dispensation.

Advocate.ng reports from the list release, 13 of the nominees were appointed Ministers of State while some new ministries were also created.
