Text message asking party members to register afresh baseless -Delta APC

The All Progressive Congress, APC, Delta State Chapter has called its members across the state to disregard text message urging members to go and re-register, describing the text message as baseless.

The party in a press statement issued by its State Publicity Secretary, Mr Moses Kamaya said the message is the handiwork of some unscrupulous elements and should be disragarded.

According to him, “Our attention has been drawn to a purported party registration presently going on in all local government of Delta State by some unscrupulous elements.

“The text message being circulated also called on party faithfuls to come along with 2paasport photograph amidst claim that thier former registration has been invalidated

“In as much as we find this action objectionable and ill conceived we want to use this medium to inform our teeming members of Delta APC all over the 25 Local government to disregard this directive as it does not emanate from the Party leadership

“We however assure party faithfuls across the state that Party registration willl comence anytime it becomes imperative to do so.

“We therefore use this opportunity to ask party faithfuls to avail themselves with the opportunity of the extension of voters registration exercise to get thier PVC to enable us take over government house come 2019.

“While welcoming our President back from his short leave we want to wish our moslem brothers happy sallah celebration,” he added.
