The Federal Mortgage Bank of Nigeria (FMBN) and the Federal Housing Authority (FHA) have announced a partnership to deliver affordable housing to Nigerians in 22 states.
This collaboration is part of the federal government's Renewed Hope Estates Projects, aimed at providing affordable housing options to the country's growing population.
During a recent visit by the FHA management to the FMBN headquarters, FHA Managing Director Oyetunde Ojo emphasized the importance of collaboration between the two organizations to ensure the successful completion and allocation of the housing estates.
The FHA has already identified land in 22 states and received off-takers guarantee from state governments, making it easier to move forward with the project.
Ojo highlighted the FHA's commitment to transparency and efficiency in the process, noting that the organization has digitized its processes to ensure open and accessible records.
Additionally, the FHA has decided to build semi-finished houses, allowing off-takers to complete the finishing touches according to their preferences.
In response, FMBN Managing Director stressed the urgency of completing the housing estates across the states, indicating that the bank is working diligently to meet the housing needs of Nigerians.
