Lovemore Fazili, Malawi's head coach, has unveiled a 32-player provisional squad for next year's Women's Africa Cup of Nations. Camp opens Sunday at Mpira Village in Blantyre.
Fazili kept most of the squad that represented the Scorchers throughout 2024. It's a squad built on continuity and experience.
Malawi will compete in WAFCON for the first time ever in Morocco. They've been grouped with Nigeria, Zambia, and Egypt in Group C.
Nigeria's Super Falcons will be their first opponents. According to the schedule, the match kicks off Monday, July 28, at Al Madina Stadium in Rabat.
