Alhaji Haruna Bako has taken over as interim sole administrator of Wikki Tourists, the Nigeria National League club based in Bauchi State. The Bauchi State government confirmed his appointment on Thursday.
Bako steps in after Salmanu Abubakar was removed from his position following the team's drop from the top flight last season. He'll begin his duties immediately, according to the government.
State officials said the move aims to rebuild public trust in how the club is run and create the right conditions for Wikki Tourists to climb back into Nigeria's elite division. The club will compete in the 2026-27 NNL campaign under new technical adviser Bala Abubakar.
