A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Delta North, Chief Emmanuel Eboh, has cautioned former local government chairman, Hon. Louis Ndukwe, over his recent comments declaring that Senator Ned Nwoko would not return to the Senate in 2027.

Reacting to Ndukwe’s remarks, Chief Eboh described the statement as baseless, ill-conceived, and a distortion of reality. He said it was “arrogant and presumptuous” for anyone to play God over another man’s political future, noting that only the electorate and divine providence can determine what lies ahead for Senator Nwoko.

Chief Eboh maintained that Senator Nwoko has been exceptional in his legislative duties, consistently demonstrating commitment and dedication to advancing the well-being of the people of Delta North. According to him, “Nwoko ranks among the most active lawmakers at the National Assembly, with numerous bills and motions to his credit.” He added that the senator’s representation has earned him widespread admiration across communities in the district.

Highlighting Nwoko’s development strides, Eboh cited the senator’s interventions in road construction, solar electrification, potable water supply, youth and women empowerment, and health outreach programmes. “About a dozen youth leaders from across the nine LGAs of Delta North are currently heading to China for vocational training, courtesy of Senator Nwoko,” he noted.

On the issue of Anioma State creation, Chief Eboh lauded Senator Nwoko’s unwavering commitment to the cause, saying he deserves commendation, not criticism. “Nwoko has continued to invest his time, resources, and influence to actualise the long-standing dream of the Anioma people,” he said, adding that the senator’s efforts align with the vision of past Anioma icons like Sir Dennis Osadebay, Senator Nosike Ikpo, and Obi Prof. Chike Edozien.

Eboh further berated Ndukwe for “recklessly meddling in Senator Nwoko’s private affairs,” describing it as an act unbecoming of a serious-minded individual. He urged the people of Delta North to ignore distractions and continue to support Senator Nwoko, whom he described as the pride of Anioma land and a true voice of the people.
