Sterling One Foundation partners UN, stakeholders on economic growth

An International NGO, Sterling One Foundation, has reiterated its commitment to partner with the UN and other stakeholders to rejuvenate socio-economic activities in the country.
This is contained in a statement on Saturday issued by the organization’s Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Mrs. Olapeju Ibekwe.
Ibekwe said the foundation was in partnership with the UN to conduct Africa Social Impact Summit (ASIS) in August.
She said the event, scheduled from Aug. 10 to 11, at the Eko Convention Centre in Lagos, would bring together key stakeholders in the African development space.
According to her, others expected include corporate executives, impact investors and development experts from various UN bodies and donor agencies.
Ibekwe explained that the summit was the foundation’s flagship platform that would bring together all players in the African development space to ensure the holistic achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
She noted that the Resident and Humanitarian Coordinator for the United Nations in Nigeria, Mr. Matthias Schmale, had expressed delight with the partnership.
She said that this year’s summit was  aimed at structuring agreed-on solutions into a comprehensive approach with the potential for long-term impact on the continent by providing more opportunities for more people.
She said that besides panel discussions, the summit would also feature a deal room that  would allow innovative entrepreneurs pitch to a curated set of impact investors to access new investments for their businesses.
” The Sterling One Foundation is a vehicle for positive social impact across critical sectors of the economy. It is driven by the unique challenges facing Africa and the need for progressive change.
”It is committed to being the benchmark of positive social impact in Nigeria by creating sustainable solutions for youth empowerment and job creation via impactful sectors, ” she said.
