Senator representing Delta North Senatorial District, Senator Prince Ned Munir Nwoko, is set to extend his sports development projects to Ika South and Ndokwa West Local Government Areas.
This initiative, included in the 2025 Appropriations Bill, aims to promote youth engagement, nurture talent, and strengthen community bonds across the Delta North Senatorial District.
This was disclosed in a statement issued by Dr. Michael Nwoko, Chief of Staff to Distinguished Senator Prince Ned Munir Nwoko, Delta North Senatorial District.
The senator’s 2024 sports facility project, located at Issele-Uku Stadium, has made significant strides, with 70% of the work completed. Designed to host local and regional sporting activities, the facility features a football pitch, dressing rooms, and a sitting pavilion with modern amenities. Senator Nwoko’s investment underscores his dedication to creating opportunities for youth through sports.
Following the progress at Issele-Uku, Senator Nwoko plans to replicate similar projects in Ika South and Ndokwa West under the 2025 budget. These facilities will include standard football pitches, dressing rooms, and spectator pavilions, serving as hubs for sports excellence and community development.
Senator Nwoko’s focus on sports stems from his belief in its power to inspire discipline, foster unity, and drive economic growth. "Sports infrastructure is essential for unlocking the untapped potential of our youth, providing avenues for development while reducing unemployment and social vices," the senator emphasized.
As these new projects take shape, Senator Nwoko has called on community leaders and stakeholders to support this initiative, stressing that collective effort is key to achieving sustainable development in Delta North.
With a track record of impactful projects, Senator Nwoko remains a beacon of hope for his constituents. His dedication to youth empowerment and community development highlights his commitment to leaving a lasting legacy of progress and opportunity for future generations.
