The All Progressives Congress (APC) has dismissed speculations suggesting that Senator Ned Nwoko, representing Delta North Senatorial District, is plotting to leave the party.
APC stalwart, Engineer Emmanuel Eboh, described the rumours as “vile, laughable propaganda,” stressing that Senator Nwoko remains a committed member of the party and a strong supporter of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Eboh’s clarification followed a viral picture showing Delta North politician, Chief Emma Ejiofor, reportedly visiting former Rivers State governor, Rotimi Amaechi, now of the African Democratic Congress (ADC). He said the meeting, if it indeed took place, had “absolutely nothing to do with Senator Nwoko.”
“Courtesy visits among politicians of different affiliations are routine, but to twist such into tales of defection is mischievous and futile,” Eboh stated.
Reaffirming Nwoko’s loyalty to the APC, he added: “Distinguished Senator Ned Nwoko is a faithful APC stalwart, firm in support of President Bola Tinubu and the Renewed Hope Agenda. It is laughable to suggest he is preparing to leave APC. To where? He was among the first prominent political leaders to move into the party in Delta. How can he abandon the house he helped to build?”
Eboh maintained that while detractors continually contrive negative propaganda, Senator Nwoko remains focused on his legislative duties, which have earned him admiration and respect across Delta and beyond.
