Rufai Oseni Of Arise News Accused Of Acting As God On National TV By Yul Edochie

Nollywood star Yul Edochie has slammed Arise News Channel’s presenter, Rufai Oseni, for his rude behaviour towards a pro-Tinubu guest on the TV station’s morning show on Monday. He said the presenter acts like a god on TV.

In a video titled ‘My message to Rufai Oseni’, which he shared on his verified Instagram page on Tuesday, Yul Edochie also called Oseni a disrespectful person.

It was reported that Jesutega Onokpasa, a former member of the APC Presidential Campaign Council, and the TV presenter had a heated argument on Arise News Channel’s morning show, ‘The Morning Show’ on Monday over the latter’s choice of questions for the guest.

Edochie commented on the incident and reminded Oseni of a viral video of him breaking a traffic law and threatening to call the governor of Lagos State to report law enforcement officers who stopped him.

“Isn’t this the same Rufai Oseni who was caught driving in the wrong lane on the BRT in Lagos sometime last year or so? And when the officials stopped him instead of apologising and admitting he was wrong, he said, ‘Do you know who I am? I’m going to call the Governor of Lagos State’. The same Rufai Oseni who was insulting people on national TV? All in the name of doing journalism, my friend, sit down. You have no moral right to talk where people with integrity are talking.

“You are talking rubbish on national TV; you are a very disrespectful person; you have no respect for the laws of the country.

“Who taught you journalism? The first thing they should’ve taught you was to respect your guests. If you have a guest and you’re talking in a way the guest does not like, the first thing you do is apologise to that guest, make the guest feel comfortable, and then you continue with your question.

“How can you tell a guest that if they are not comfortable, they are free to walk out? You were even laughing at your guest.

“The same Rufai who is insulting people on national TV, acting like a god. You have no moral justification to talk to anybody that way. You’re not better than any Nigerian,” the Nollywood actor said.
