The new Commissioner of Police in Anambra, Mr Aderemi Adeoye, has pledged to ensure proper reward for police personnel who discharge their duties professionally, and with commitment and dedication.
Adeoye said that the Command has restored the `CP Commendation Award’ to motivate the personnel to bring out their best in serving humanity.
In a statement on Thursday in Awka by the command spokesperson, DSP Tochukwu Ikenga, the police commissioner said that the award was resuscitated in line with the directive of the Acting Inspector-General of Police, Olukayode Egbetokun.
“The commendation award is aimed at spurring officers to greatness while discharging their statutory duties with dedication,” he said.
Adeoye added that it would enhance professionalism and improve the skills of officers in the performance of their duties, without distractions.
“It is  also an assurance that police officers welfare is of great importance to the leadership of the Police Force,” he added.
