PFN Urges Tinubu to Declare State of Emergency on Security

The Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN) has called on President Bola Tinubu to declare a state of emergency on security in the country.

The Christian organization expressed its concerns about the escalating issues of insecurity, including banditry and kidnappings.

Bishop Wale Oke, the President of the Fellowship, urged the government to take decisive action against the threats posed by these criminals and not treat the issue of insecurity with kid gloves.

He emphasized the need for a safe Nigeria that is peaceful, and urged the President to use his executive power as the Commander-in-Chief to crush insecurity.

The PFN also addressed a recent social media threat by a group claiming to make Nigeria ungovernable due to the outcome of the election.

Bishop Oke called for the group to be treated as criminals and not be given special treatment, as their actions are a form of treason against the President and the people of Nigeria.

In addition to security concerns, the PFN raised the issue of food insecurity and urged the government to open the borders but with proper security checks to prevent the influx of foreign bandits.

The organization also called for the President to work on the economy and provide a solution to the escalating food prices.

Regarding the recent BBC report on the late TB Joshua, the PFN clarified that he was never a member of the Fellowship and never identified with them.

They emphasized their stance on the perfection and righteousness of the word of God and maintained that only God knows the truth about the story.

In conclusion, the PFN pledged its support to President Tinubu, offering cooperation and necessary information to ensure his success in addressing the nation’s challenges.
