The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has said that it will expel Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State at the appropriate time, following his alleged anti-party activities. This was disclosed by the PDP National Legal Adviser, Barrister Daniel Bwala, in an interview with Channels Television on Thursday.
Bwala accused Wike of working against the interests of the party and supporting candidates of other parties in the recent local government elections in Rivers State. He said Wike’s actions were unacceptable and contrary to the constitution and manifesto of the PDP.
Bwala said that the party had already initiated disciplinary procedures against Wike and would expel him at the appropriate time. He said that the party had a laid-down process for dealing with erring members and would follow it to the letter.
