UEFA's Technical Observer Group has named eight players to the 2025/26 Champions League team of the season. PSG dominated the selection with five players chosen.

Marquinhos, Nuno Mendes, Vitinha, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, and Ousmane Dembele represent the defending champions. Arsenal contributed three players: Declan Rice, Gabriel, and David Raya.

Bayern Munich and Atletico Madrid, both semi-final losers, earned representation too. Harry Kane and Michael Olise made the Bayern cut, while Marcus Llorente was Atletico's sole selection.

Six of the eight players have earned selection multiple times before. Marquinhos, Mendes, Vitinha, Dembele, Rice, and Kane have all appeared in previous team-of-the-season lineups.

Five other players secured spots in the team for the first time this season. Their inclusion reflects strong performances throughout the continental competition.

Kvaratskhelia claimed the UEFA Champions League player of the season award. The 25-year-old Georgian winger takes over from Dembele, who won last year's honour.

His numbers were simply remarkable across the campaign. Kvaratskhelia scored 10 goals and laid on six assists in the competition.

He was decisive in PSG's final triumph on penalties. He won the spot-kick that leveled matters before his club ultimately prevailed from the penalty mark.

His 16 goal involvements mark a historic PSG achievement. No other Paris player has ever produced that many in a single UCL season.

Kvaratskhelia's knockout-stage performance proved equally exceptional. He registered at least one goal involvement in seven consecutive knockout matches — a record in itself.

Only Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi have matched his achievement. All three are the sole players to reach double-digit goals and five-plus assists in one UCL campaign.
