Oba Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja, the Olubadan of Ibadan, visited Bode Market to express sympathy with traders affected by a recent fire outbreak. He told them he was deeply shocked by the disaster.

According to a statement signed by Ayoade Solomon Olugbemiga, the Olubadan's chief press secretary, the monarch praised traders for swiftly rebuilding the market without hesitation. Speaking through representatives Oba Salawudeen Amidu Ajibade and Oba Abiodun Azees, Oba Ladoja called Bode Market an international trading hub open to all.

He urged the traders to uphold love, unity and transparency in their dealings. The Iyaloja of Ibadanland, Iswat Abiola Ameringun, welcomed the royal delegation in her remarks.

She assured the Olubadan that peaceful coexistence and mutual affection would define relations at the market going forward. The gathering included Iyaloja of Bode Market Makinde Sikirat, female market leaders from eleven local government areas in Ibadanland, Mogajis, clerics, and numerous traders.
