In his determination to eradicate poverty and reduce unemployment among youths and women in Igbide kingdom, the Special Assistant to Delta State Governor on DESOPADEC Matters, Hon Prosper Edo has presented a complete set of welding equipments to one of the beneficiaries of his free empowerment scheme, Mr. Akpoviroro Ugala.

Presenting the equipments at a get together party organized by Omonotomo Political Forum held at Igbide in Isoko South Local Government Area of Delta State, Edo expressed gratitude to God and the spirit of determination by the forum.

In a chat with newsmen, he said, “Yesterday, my Political group organized a Get Together Party to mark the end of 2019 and start 2020 in grand style.

“I am particularly happy because the ceremony gave us the opportunity to once again show our resolve commitment to create wealth and reduce the poverty gap among our people by empowering Mr. Ugala Akpoviroro AKA Kpokor.

“The case of Ugala Akpoviroro is what I call the Spirit of Determination. Like so many others, I never believed in him when he approached us to register him in the Prosper Edo Empowerment Programme, PEEP to learn Welding and Fabrication.

“But in a strong spirit of determination, he completed the 2 years intensive training after which we have empower him with a Welding Machine and all other Welding Equipments that are needed as a welder. Today, he is a Welder and can take care of himself.

“By the grace of God, before the end of May 2020, the over 50 Trainees of the 2nd Batch of the Prosper Edo Empowerment Programme will be sent forth with complete Starter Packs to become self reliant and job creators.” Edo hinted.

Responding, Mr. Akpoviroro Ugala who sued for peace among youths said, “Today I am a changed person because of what I have gained from “Prosper Edo Empowerment Programme’ and the presentation of complete welding equipments to me by Chief Prosper Edo.

“You all know me before now and I will never disappoint the donor with what he has given to me, I will make judicious use the equipments to be an employer of labour in the community.”
