Chief Great Ovedje Ogboru, popularly known as the Peoples General, has joined the people of Udu Kingdom in congratulating His Royal Majesty, Engr. Micheal Ogheneovo Orugbo, Okporua I, Ovie of Udu Kingdom, on the presentation of his Staff of Office by the Governor of Delta State, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori.
In a goodwill message personally signed and released to journalists, Chief Ogboru described the event as a milestone of peace and cultural renewal that will shape the destiny of Udu Kingdom.
He emphasized unity and collaboration among stakeholders, urging all to work together for the kingdom’s progress and development.
“On behalf of my family and supporters, I heartily congratulate His Royal Majesty, Engr. Orugbo, OKPORUA I, on your exalted seat, which will foster social harmony and economic growth,” Ogboru said.
He expressed confidence that the monarch’s reign would promote cultural pride and moral rebirth across Udu and the wider Urhobo nation.
“May your reign be blessed with divine wisdom, lasting peace, and prosperity for our people,” he added.
Ogboru also called on Udu indigenes to rally behind their king and participate actively in community development, pledging his continued support for the progress of the kingdom under HRM Orugbo’s leadership.
