Chief of Staff to Senator Ned Nwoko, Dr. Michael Nwoko, has dismissed as false and mischievous the recent social media allegations made by one Mr. Chucks Nwoko against the Nwoko royal family of Idumuje-Ugboko and Distinguished Senator Prince Ned Munir Nwoko.
In a statement issued on Thursday, Dr. Nwoko described the comments as “reckless, ill-informed, and a desperate attempt to drag a respected royal name into needless controversy.” He clarified that the Nwoko royal family completely disassociates itself from the said individual, whom he described as “neither of royal lineage nor ancestrally connected to Idumuje-Ugboko.”
According to him, “Mr. Chucks Nwoko’s father hails from the western part of Nigeria, and by every known standard of genealogy. It is, therefore, audacious, even laughable, for him to assume a voice or claim authority on matters concerning the Nwoko household.”
Dr. Nwoko condemned the video circulated online by Mr. Chucks Nwoko, describing it as “malicious propaganda born of ignorance or external manipulation.” He said, “This is a classic case of someone seeking cheap relevance by throwing stones at a name far greater than his imagination can comprehend.”
He emphasised that Senator Ned Nwoko remains one of Delta State’s most distinguished sons, whose record of service, philanthropy, and legislative achievements speaks for itself. “From scholarship programs and youth empowerment to infrastructure and sports development, Senator Nwoko’s impact across Delta North and beyond is monumental,” Dr. Nwoko stated.
He noted that in the 10th Senate, Senator Nwoko has sponsored over 31 bills and moved several motions addressing key national issues, describing him as “a visionary leader whose sense of purpose and moral duty guides his service to the people.”
Reaffirming the unity of the royal household, Dr. Nwoko declared, “The Nwoko family stands firmly behind Senator Ned Nwoko. We completely distance ourselves from the reckless utterances of Mr. Chucks Nwoko, who speaks only for himself and those who feed his delusions — not for the Nwoko dynasty or the people of Idumuje-Ugboko.”
He concluded that such distractions would not derail the Senator’s commitment to public service. “Those who trade in falsehoods will fade into irrelevance, while men of purpose like Senator Ned Nwoko continue to build lasting legacies through service and compassion,” he said.
