Senator Ned Nwoko, representing Delta North Senatorial District, hosted a meeting with stakeholders from Idumuje Ward 8 at his home to strengthen the All Progressives Congress (APC) at the grassroots level.

Speaking to his kinsmen at his Mount Ned resort in Idumuje Ugboko, Senator Nwoko emphasised the need for unity to solidify the APC's presence. He urged the stakeholders to mobilise support for President Bola Tinubu's administration at all levels.

The senator highlighted his ongoing projects in the Idumuje clan, which include new roads, a dam, school buildings, and solar-powered electricity. He also mentioned providing employment and skill acquisition programs for his constituents. Nwoko noted that similar infrastructure and development initiatives have been implemented across the Delta North Senatorial District.

To ensure equitable distribution of amenities, Nwoko announced the formation of a project monitoring and implementation committee for Ward 8, which includes Idumuje Unor, Idumuje Ugboko, and Aniofu.

A key focus of the meeting was Nwoko's advocacy for the creation of Anioma State. He expressed confidence that the project would be successful, citing support from the Tinubu administration, the Senate, and various socio-cultural groups. Nwoko described the movement for Anioma State as one of Nigeria's oldest, dating back to 1954, and reiterated his commitment to seeing it through for the sake of equity and social justice.

He also announced an upcoming, larger meeting for all ward members on September 1st to forge a common front for the community's benefit.

In response, the stakeholders in attendance—including party stalwarts and government officials—pledged their support and dedication to the APC and the senator's efforts.
