Nnamdi Kanu Changes Legal Team for Defense in Terrorism Charges

Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), has changed his legal team for his defense in the 7-count charges of terrorism offenses brought against him by the Federal Government of Nigeria.

Kanu’s trial is set to resume at the Federal High Court in Abuja today.

The new legal team, led by Alloy Ejimakor, will take over the defense of the Biafra agitator.

The previous legal team, led by Chief Mike Ozekhome SAN and Ifeanyi Ejiofor, has not provided any reasons for the change in representation.

The Federal High Court in Abuja has already seen the presence of lawyers and sympathizers of Nnamdi Kanu, as they await the start of the trial.

The change in legal representation comes as a surprise, but the new team is expected to continue the defense against the terrorism charges.

As the trial proceeds, the focus will be on the new legal team’s strategy and how they will handle the case

. The outcome of the trial will have significant implications for Nnamdi Kanu and the IPOB movement, as well as the broader political and security landscape in Nigeria.
