Nigeria's Super Eagles dominated Jamaica 3-0 in the Unity Cup final at London on Saturday. Coach Eric Chelle's men captured their fourth title in the competition.
Midfielder Alhassan Yusuf was the standout performer for the West Africans. He netted twice — once in the 53rd minute and again in the 91st.
Yusuf struck early to give Nigeria the advantage. His opener set the tone for what became a commanding performance.
Terem Moffi added the second goal after a brilliant build-up play. Winger Femi Azeez beat his marker before crossing to Moffi, who finished with precision.
Deep into stoppage time, Yusuf sealed victory with his second. He received a pass from Philip Otele and fired past the Jamaican keeper.
Nigeria reached the final by crushing Zimbabwe 2-0 in the semi-final. Azeez scored both goals on his debut for the national team.
This marks back-to-back Unity Cup crowns for the Super Eagles. They also beat Jamaica in last year's final as well.
Nigeria now hold four championships across all Unity Cup tournaments. The annual competition brings together four nations with significant diaspora populations in the UK.
The Super Eagles face Poland next in a friendly fixture. The match is scheduled for June 3 at Warsaw's PGE Narodowy Stadium.
