A faction of the Labour Party (LP), headed by Lamidi Apapa, has cast doubt on the validity of the certificates of Peter Obi, the party’s presidential flagbearer.
The faction’s National Publicity Secretary, Abayomi Arabambi, claimed that Obi’s name on his NYSC and UNN certificates did not match.
He said that Obi’s NYSC certificate had the name Peter Gregory Onwubuasi Obi, while his UNN certificate had the name Peter Gregory Onwubuasi. He said that this inconsistency could be a case of forgery and perjury and urged the INEC and the DSS to probe into it.
