Legislator gives out N20m scholarship to 700 undergraduates

To support their academic journey, Mansur Manu Soro, the representative of Darazo/Ganjuwa Federal Constituency in Bauchi State, has given out N20 million worth of scholarships to 700 undergraduates.

At the launch of the education grant for students of Darazo/Ganjuwa Federal Constituency in Bauchi State University Gadau, Yuli Campus, Rep. Soro said the support was essential in light of the widespread difficulty faced by students in paying tuition fees, especially when universities and colleges are increasing their fees.

He was represented by Hon. Garba Adamu, the member of the State House of Assembly for Ganjuwa West. Soro said education is the key tool that liberates nations from the bondage of slavery and the vicious cycle of illiteracy, poverty, unemployment, and diseases.

He said, “This grant is to motivate our younger ones to access education through legislative intervention. This is the third year of this intervention, but I feel we can do more. That is why I am determined to explore the possibility of establishing Darazo/Ganjuwa Educational Endowment Funds in 2024.
