Treasure Ayuba, the last of the 121 students of Bethel Baptist High School, Kaduna, who were kidnapped by gunmen on July 5, has finally regained his freedom.
He was released on Thursday night, November 2, 2023, after spending nearly four months in captivity.
The Nigeria Baptist Convention (NBC) celebrated his release in a statement.
The NBC President, Rev. Israel Akanji, said, “Praise God! Praise God!! Praise God!!! Today, November 2, 2023, Treasure Ayuba, the last boy who was still held by the bandits who stormed Bethel Baptist High School, Kaduna, on July 5, 2021, has just come back home.
“We thank our faithful God. We also appreciate your prayers and various forms of support.”
